Chinese Mooncake Festival!

The food was good as you would expect.
They had some decent dancers and some Tai Chi I wasn't impressed with, but they had a couple huge arm wrestlers that brought an arm wrestling table and were calling people out to try it. I got called, and was able to win against one of them. The other guy had over 60lbs of muscle on me and knew the correct technique, which I do not, so that one didn't go as well. They were canvasing to try and start an arm wrestling club! They wanted me to join. I was trying to get them to come train martial arts with me....

Happy training!

Blacklick Woods Metro Park!

Hiking around this place in Ohio was super fun. They have an elevated canopy walk for nature watching, and huts on the elevated trail with all kinds of physical things and activities for kids (and me) to do! They also have a rad nature center and regular trails that are so well maintained you could even go through them with a wheel chair.

Highly recommend a day activity if you are in the area!

Happy Trails!

The start of September means the transition to autumn has begun!  Leaves changing to orange, red, and brown. S'mores. Crisp evening and morning air, and pumpkin everything! Getting into the spirit with a sunflower festival at Stucky Farm.

Happy Autumn!

Karl Urban and Dolph Lundgren were also at Chicago Fan Expo.

Karl Urban told me “You're a great Johnny Cage!”

Karl Urban was lovely agreeing to pose for a picture recreating a picture he is holding of the 3 of us from earlier in the day. Cage-ception! My goal is to keep grinding acting gigs until I can cross paths with him in a professional capacity, and then get him to hold a photo of him holding the photo, recreating the recreation...

Dolph Lundgren tried to have a conversation with me about Kyokushin Karate and where I go training, but his photo handler yanked me out so people could keep taking photos. Hopefully I get to train with him at some point.

Spent a weekend enjoying the “Chicago Fan Expo”.
One day I was a not-criminal treasure hunter, Nathan Drake from “Uncharted”, teaming up with Lara Croft from “Tomb Raider”.

We made the “Top 25 Cosplay Staff Pics” for TheProjectCosplayPhoto!

Another day I was Jack Burton from the documentary “Big Trouble in Little China”, in honor of meeting Kurt Russell and John Carpenter. I asked Kurt Russell if he could make a dumb face for our photo and he said “Shouldn't be a problem, I've been doing it my whole life.” But the gentleman was just too photogenic! He took a very a good photo. I'm almost more happy that I'm the only one making a dumb face, which is – plot twist – just my face.

Chicago fan expo was super fun!
Maybe I should hit up some more of these things?
