Frequently Asked Questions

Are These Stories Really True?

Yes.  Didn't you read the "About" section?

How do you get into these situations?

Sometimes it's a training journey, sometimes it's a quest to learn something new or find something.  Occasionally through an odd series of circumstances I find myself doing something unplanned:  i.e. I just wind up somewhere.  Often times it's a combination of all of these mixed with good old fashioned bad timing.  My "carefully calculated bad decisions" can get me into trouble, that I then must improvise my way out of.

Wait... are there details removed from some of these stories?

Yes.  I've had to redact some names and places from certain stories, or in some cases entirely remove stories when "asked".  Usually I just change some names but I take out what I must to protect people involved.  Depending on why something was removed I may leave hints to what happened or how I got somewhere.  In those cases, It's usually pretty obvious what happened, I just can't come out and say it directly ;)

So, are you rich?

Just the opposite.  You don't need money as much as most people think;  ingenuity will make up the difference.

So, if you don't have money, where do you get the funds for your travels?

Ingenuity!  Work whatever jobs you need to in order to accumulate venture capital before moving on.  I've lived like a homeless person in one place to save enough to go be homeless in another.  Accommodation becomes "free" if you sleep in the woods, on the road, or with people you've met, or getting creative.  Food becomes "free" when you get it from a dumpster, or from someone else;  The world wastes enough food that you shouldn't have a problem surviving in most places.  Travel becomes "free" when you walk, hitchhike, or finagle a similar situation.  With Training and practice you can make someone fairly self-sufficient.

Gross.

It really isn't if you do it right.  Besides, you can't be truly free if you're a slave to your own comfort and up-tightness:  Get out of your comfort zone!  Adventure!

You don't have a phone!?

Correct.  Never needed one, never wanted one.

You should write a book!

I am!  Three actually.  Consider this blog a rough draft for the one regarding my travels.  The others are about my own philosophy and martial arts, though whether any of them get finished and published is another story.

You need more content!  Videos, TV show, Vlog, something!

These would take time and money; I do what I can.  I would love those things though.  Think I should have a show?  I would relish the chance for a television show, web-series, or movie;  Why not help me get one?  If you read through the "Chronicles of Nash" you'll see I've almost had my own shows over a handful of times, as well as movie gigs and everything in-between.  Time after time things have repeatedly fallen through.  The only thing that will make it happen is if someone really lobbies for it.

Why are there so many Spelling and Grammar errors here!?

The main reason would be that I am terrible at spelling, but also remember that these are often typed as fast as I can manage, often on a paid public computer in a country with spelling and grammar likely different from your own.  The auto-correct can do more harm than good, and AI will take away my distinct "writer's voice".  Also, you get what you pay for; if you were getting something from me from a book or TV show, then you could complain.  Besides, that's what editors are for, right?
