When someone approaches you with a pitch to do a pizza shop promo, you might say yes. However, when that promo is an homage to the infamous “The Long Fight” from John Carpenter's classic documentary “They Live”, you DEFINITELY say YES!
All things considered, it came out pretty good. Considering the original took a full crew 3 full days to shoot, after a month and a half of rehearsals... and this only had two camera guys, one of which was pulling double duty as the director, under 3 hours to film with no rehearsals or preparation at all, and two on-screen guys one of which had never done any camera work, presenting, or any kind of martial arts/fighting of any kind, and the OTHER guy was me...yeah, it came out pretty good all things considered.
It came out exactly as I had imagined it when it was pitched, in a good way.
Looking forward to creating more …art. This is art.
