Personal Update:
Coming off of a string of canceled fights, I was excited to hear of an event coming soon. After finding out about the event it only took me 3 days to get the fight. Afterwords I heard that the weigh-ins were the same day as the fight. Fine, “if my opponent can do it, I can do it better”, I thought. Then I found out I wouldn't be allowed to kick to the head... which is kind of my thing. Then I heard my opponent could were some protective gear if he wanted, and the time between rounds was almost two minutes; completely negating my advantages. The whole thing was morphing into a contest that wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I was still game. Then the Ohio commission contacted me and told me that my blood work results weren't valid in their state (the state of the event), and I only had a few days to get them the results. Finding a clinic with 24hour turnaround time I was determined to get this done...then the week of the event I took a dropping elbow to the fibula while training and thought I had actually broken my leg. I went to the vet and had it x-rayed, it was not broken, but it was messed up enough that I shouldn't have been fighting, and so was forced to sit this one out.
