6 Days before fight weigh-ins: I find out I'm fighting, and am told to stay at my current weight (180lbs) or gain some; I'll be fighting up a weight class. I spend all weekend eating. After the weekend of food I clock in at 190lbs.
4 Days before fight weigh-ins: Told I am fighting at 170lbs instead; emergency weight cut!
23 Hours before fight weigh-ins: Informed were the weigh-ins actually are, and it's far away (3 hour drive); good thing we have a ride.
6 Hours before fight weigh-ins: Made weight! Damn near killed me and gave me cold sores though, but after much passing out I made it. I then find out the ride to the place has to be me, and I can't make the drive without rehydrating; This means I must give up my fight. I decide to do it so my fighting brother Lloyd Colossus Thornton can make it to his pro fight, which he had signed a contract for; I hadn't signed one. I talk to the promoter and find out long-story-short my fight wasn't going to go down anyway, so I didn't bail on it, but also cut weight for nothing.... I slog Llyod the 3 hours up to his fight and take care of him, becouse that's what's been done for me in the past ( Thanks Chris Ibay !). He makes it, and after a hotel fiasco, he is good to go. I made friends with the promoter so I can get fights way easier now
Also a creepy old man in the locker room took my picture in my underwear and told me to email it to him so he can look at it for motivation everyday.... I'll do that....
