When someone asks if you want to go on a road trip to a big convention and dress up, you say yes! So I wound up at the big anime and game convention “WeebCon” in Dallas, Texas! I don't know why, but people kept asking to take pictures with me. The press for the event took pictures of me. Maybe 20 people wanted photos with me? At one point in time there was a line of like 4 people! WHY!? Have I seen the show and know the characters I'm dressed as? NO. Did I have a blast? YES!

Super Nintendo World!  It's super Rad!  Highly Recommended. 

Sanguisugabog, the band who's music video I was recently in, went on tour and I popped in to see how they perform live. The place was packed, and while the genre was “Death Metal” the bands and crowd both seemed to be an electric mix of positive energy. While there, who should I run into but the actress who was in the video with me! While we were chatting the lead singer of the band passed by and said “Oh shit! Johnny Cage Nash! I follow your stuff man, I loved the pizza commercial.” He then proceeded to introduce me to the rest of the band and all of us got a great picture together! If you are into the death metal scene or just really like energetic live shows, check them out!

​Halloween is the best!
This year I continued the tradition of dressing as people that look more or less how I look all year.
I was obviously “Kung Fury”, from the hit movie!
I was surprised by how many people were psyched to see me as Kung Fury. No less than 10 strangers enthusiastically shouted out to me!

Went to King's Island for Halloween time!  It had probably been decades since the last time I was there. I didn't know they dressed it up special for Halloween.

Kicking around Chicago Chinatown for the Autumn Moon Festivals. There were actually 3 separate events going on: Two different festivals for the Autumn Moon and some Taiwan stuff. It was a great turnout! They had Kung Fu demonstrations, Lion Dancing, regular dancing, and awesome foods. Chicago Chinatown has really gentrified in the past two years. I know NYC Chinatown is larger, but I've always preferred Chicago's because of the architecture and the figurative grit.
